Fashion models are, as a general rule,
always in high demand due to the wide range of projects for
which they are used. Fashion models are not always required to
be classically beautiful, but ideally need to have a good
complexion. Dependent on the project, a photographer will be
looking for a particular style or look. Height is often a
requirement; as general rule women should be no shorter than
5’8” and men less than 6’0” need not apply, unless specifically
requested.
Work for fashion models includes product
promotion, ranging from cosmetics & perfumes to both consumer
and trade retail items. Participation in fashion shows including
catwalk or runway modelling for both designer and high street
clothing brands is also very common. Top modelling agencies will
also require fashion models for magazine cover page shoots and
the fashion model is also sometimes required for fitness
modelling.
